Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with expertise in the insurance sector. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable user stories, optimizing underwriting processes, and leveraging Jira to manage project workflows. The ideal candidate will have strong communication & stakeholder management skill, & proactively finding the solution towards every business issues
• User Story Development:
• Collaborate with underwriters, claims adjusters, and other stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements.
• Translate requirements into clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams.
• Prioritize user stories in collaboration with product owners to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Proactively drive project progress through effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, maintaining active communication and coordination with stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery
• Underwriting & Claims Process Analysis:
• Map current underwriting and claims workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvements.
• Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement streamlined processes that enhance risk assessment and claims resolution.
• Monitor process changes to ensure they meet operational and compliance standards.
• Jira Management & Agile Methodology:
• Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Fundamental knowledge about Jira & Agile methodology
• Understand how a project works (timeline, budget, R&R, etc)
• Stakeholder Engagement:
• Conduct workshops and meetings to gather insights and ensure that technical solutions align with business goals.
• Provide regular updates to management on project progress and process improvement initiatives.
• Support UAT & training guidelines, ensure effective communication
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance industry.
• Strong proficiency in Mandarin (written and spoken).
• Proven ability to gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
• Experience with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
• Knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, Excel).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
