Job Summary
The HR Manager (Group CoE) plays a strategic and regional role in shaping Vpon’s human resources frameworks across Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Thailand. This role focuses on designing and standardizing group-wide HR policies, job evaluation systems (including IPE implementation), performance management frameworks, and total rewards structures to support organizational growth and transformation. Working closely with HRBPs and BU leaders, this position provides CoE expertise and project leadership to ensure consistency, compliance, and scalability of HR practices across regions.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Organization & Talent Strategy
•Design and optimize job architecture, job families, and competency models across the group
•Support organizational transformation initiatives including workforce planning, job mapping, and restructuring
•Lead the development and rollout of a group-wide job evaluation system (e.g., Mercer IPE) to support leveling, compensation, and career development frameworks
2. Performance & Rewards Framework
•Co-develop KPI frameworks and performance evaluation systems aligned with business objectives
•Drive the design, review, and enhancement of variable pay structures, bonus schemes, and ESOP plans
•Partner with Finance and C&B functions to ensure fair and data-driven pay-for-performance practices
3. HR Policy & Process Development
•Draft, implement, and maintain group-level HR policies, guidelines, and SOPs
• Conduct HR analytics and build dashboards to support decision-making (e.g., salary benchmarking, attrition trends, position analysis)
4. Regional Collaboration & Project Management
• Act as a CoE project leader to roll out key HR initiatives across Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Thailand
•Provide strategic advisory and implementation support to local HRBPs and business leaders
• Ensure alignment and scalability of HR systems and practices across all regions
Requirements
•Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a strategic HR or CoE role
•Proven experience in HR framework design, such as performance management, compensation planning, job architecture, and organizational design
•Hands-on experience or strong interest in job evaluation methodologies (e.g., Mercer IPE), with the ability to lead implementation across regions
•Prior experience in multinational or regional roles, especially across Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Thailand, is highly preferred
•Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-border HR initiatives
•Proficient in English and Mandarin; excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations to leadership
•Self-driven, analytical, and structured; able to operate independently while influencing across functions and cultures
