Job Summary
Performs a wide variety of electronics engineering, hardware, firmware and software, assignments of a wide complexity under little or no supervision. Considerable latitude for independent action and decision. Responsible for electrical projects from costing/estimating stage, design, qualification, into and through production.
Primary Responsibilities
• Full life-cycle product development experience from concept through
production is extremely important
• Ability to design for a broad range of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) related
technologies including control panels, touch display, displays, video signal chain
and communication protocols
• Ability to solve a wide range of technical problems & contribute creative ideas to
improve development processes
• Self-starter, highly motivated, and extremely collaborative
• Comfortable with fast pace, constant change, and handling multiple projects
• Works with customers to establish design requirements.
• Assists in the development and maintenance of design standards.
• Coordinates electrical and firmware/software design with responsible Program
Manager.
• Proficiency in general use and operation of electronic test and measurement
devices (i.e. Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope, Digital Multi-meter, etc.)
• Executes projects in alignment with the Mechanical Development Process.
• Employs design for manufacturing best practices
Qualifications Essential:
• BS in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or Computer Science
• Fluent in Mandarin and English
• 10 years minimum experience
• Circuit Design (schematic capture) experience with emphasis on design margin
and derating to improve quality.
• OrCAD and/or Altium Schematic Capture and board bring-up
• ARM M0-M7 microcontroller families
• Embedded C programming language
• USB, I2C, SPI, CANbus, BT, WiFi, Ethernet
• Designing for EMC compliance.
• Low voltage power conditioning
• Rapid Prototyping experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with customers,
suppliers, and factory personnel, in Asia and USA.
• Experience with customer interface representing technical domain
• Minimal travel to Shenzhen China and Idaho/Texas USA is a possibility.
