We are hiring a Field Service Engineer for our US tech client in Hsinchu, Taiwan. Location & Work Environment: - Based in Hsinchu area, Taiwan (about 1 hour from Taipei) - Will support 3 tools at Taiwan customer's facility - No clean room work required - Initially frequent on-site presence, eventually reducing to 1-2 times per week Key responsibilities: - Service and maintenance of failure analysis tools for semiconductor chips - Preventive maintenance and problem resolution - Eventually develop applications expertise - Communication with factory team in San Jose - Data gathering and analysis using various tools (spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.) Key requirements: - Experience with: - Laser-based applications - Emission camera-based applications - Motor controllers - XYZ stages - Mechanical and electrical systems - Preferred background: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering - Beneficial: Certifications in lasers/optics - Experience: 3+ years technical work experience (though more experienced candidates welcome) Soft Skills & Personality Traits: - Strong English language skills required - Not shy but doesn't need to be aggressive - Good customer relationship building abilities - Self-starter mentality - Strong desire to learn and grow - Ability to work independently Travel Requirements: - Initial 2-4 weeks training in the US - Follow-up training after 6 months - Occasional travel to other Asian sites (China, Singapore, Malaysia) as needed - All business travel expenses covered by company Package: - Base salary: $45,000 USD (flexibility up to ~$50,000 for right candidate) - 10% annual bonus - 3 weeks Paid time off
