Founded in 2000, China Labor Watch (CLW) is an independent non-profit organization dedicated to protecting workers' rights in global supply chains. Our mission is to investigate and expose labor violations, hold corporations accountable, and advocate for fair labor standards. CLW’s research and investigations have been widely cited by international media, governments, human rights organizations, and labor groups.
As a small but highly impactful team, every member plays a crucial role. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in labor rights research, nonprofit management, and international advocacy.
Position Overview
Due to project development and fundraising needs, China Labor Watch is seeking a Fundraising and Project Administrative Assistant under a short-term contract till December 2025. The contract may be renewed depending on future project funding and organizational needs.
This role primarily involves assisting with fundraising efforts, supporting project implementation , and handling administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Research potential funders, including foundations, government agencies, and other funding sources;
Assist in communicating with existing funders and organizing feedback materials;
Monitor and evaluate the progress and outcomes of ongoing projects;
Support project implementation, including organizing data and tracking progress;
Assist with daily administrative tasks such as document filing, meeting scheduling, and expense reimbursements;
Support internal coordination within the team and external communications with stakeholders .
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or above in any field of study;
At least two years of relevant work experience (e.g., fundraising, project support, public relations, administrative assistance);
Fluency in both Chinese and English (spoken and written); ability to independently handle bilingual work documents and communications;
Strong writing skills and basic research and analysis skills;
Highly responsible, detail-oriented, and able to efficiently manage multiple tasks;
Proficient in commonly used office software and project collaboration tools (such as Asana, Word, Excel, Google Docs);
Prior experience in nonprofit organizations, international projects, or working within the labor rights field is preferred.
Work Hours and Location
Full-time or part-time (to be determined based on organizational needs);
Location: Millburn, New Jersey – on-site work required;
Standard work hours: 40 hours per week. This is a non-exempt position under U.S. labor law. Prior approval required for hours worked beyond 40 hours per week.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications;
