The Taiwan Professional Basketball League (TPBL) is on a mission to establish itself as a premier basketball league in Asia. As we expand our presence across the region, we are looking for a Social Media Specialist to help grow our fanbase in across Asia by driving digital engagement, storytelling, and community building.
We are seeking a creative and data-driven social media professional to expand TPBL's digital reach across Asia. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of social media trends, platform algorithms, and regional fan engagement strategies. You'll work closely with the marketing team to create compelling content that drives viewership, builds fan engagement, and amplifies TPBL's brand across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and Twitter (X).
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and execute a localized social media strategy to grow TPBL's fanbase in Asia.
- Create and publish engaging, platform-specific content (videos, graphics, memes, captions, etc.).
- Manage content calendars and ensure timely execution of campaigns.
- Leverage analytics to optimize content, improve engagement, and increase follower growth.
Content Creation & Community Engagement:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop regionally relevant content featuring TPBL teams, players, and behind-the-scenes moments.
- Engage with Asian fans by responding to comments, messages, and fan interactions.
- Identify and work with influencers, basketball communities, and fan accounts to amplify TPBL's reach.
Regional Growth & Brand Building:
- Adapt global TPBL branding and messaging for local market relevance.
- Research and apply trends in basketball culture, sports marketing, and social media behavior across Asia.
- Support sponsorship activation efforts by integrating branded content into social media campaigns.
- Monitor and report on key social media metrics, providing recommendations to improve engagement and follower growth.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of social media experience, preferably in sports, entertainment, or digital marketing.
- Strong understanding of Asian digital culture and basketball fan engagement.
- Proficiency in social media platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and X (Twitter).
- Experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator) and basic video editing.
- Passion for basketball and knowledge of the sports landscape across Asia.
- Fluency in English (Mandarin or other Southeast Asian languages is a plus).
