1. Organisation and Process Management
- Define Vision and Strategy of Accounting division.
- Set up the objectives of the Accounting division broken down into the detailed action plans to achieve these objectives.
2. Compliance with local law and regulations
- Oversee the preparation of daily, monthly, annual financial reports for statutory reporting, local management reporting and HQ reporting
- Co-ordinate the annual audit. Ensures the accounting records and reports are in compliance with Taiwan GAAP & IFRS and timely submission to relevant parties.
- Compile with the local tax regulations and complete the tax returns timely.
3. Maintenance of Chart of Accounts & Travel request/report system (Concur)
- Modify the Chart of Accounts regularly to cope with business requirements.
- Maximise the generic reporting capability of FI module to generate standard report without transporting data to spreadsheet.
- Master data set up and workflow changes maintenance of Concur system
- Coordinate with Concur support team
4. Accounting operation and month-end closing
- Streamline the accounting operation to shorten the closing period within 7 working days
- Develop and implement the KPIs tracking in A/R, AP and G/L teams to identify exceptions and detect irregularities
- Ensure proper monthly cut off, drive monthly review process to ensure that all the exceptions are reviewed and communicated timely
- Provide Local Controlling with the explanation for the questions concerning the actual vs Last Year
- All exceptions must be reported and rectified timely.
5. People Management & Development
- Ensure resources properly allocated and staff effectively trained to the required standard.
- Identify and groom a successor through job rotation and training
- Oversee hiring, performance appraisal, succession planning for the Accounting division.
6. Ad-Hoc Project
- Act as project leader to lead project team
- Complete projects by given deadline
- Identify risk and impact
