Scope of position:
You will join a dynamic and cross-functional team that focuses on the design and develop 3D sensing cameras and their applications. More specifically, in this position, you will work with optical and software engineers to provide 3D sensing solutions
Responsibilities:
◆ Work with a multi-disciplinary team to
A. develop calibration method and process for 3D sensing cameras
B. design and develop metrology systems for (1)evaluating the optical performance of 3D cameras and (2)picking and evaluating optical components such as lens, filter, laser, and diffractive optical element
C. prototyping optical 3D sensing systems for specific applications
◆ Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, embedded system, software, and quality control engineers to develop 3D sensing cameras, from conception to mass production
Required Education:
Major in Optics, Physics, EE, ME, or CS.
With 1+ years of working experience in developing optical sensing/measurement/metrology systems
Required Experience/Skills:
◆ STRONG fundamental knowledge of optics
◆ Experience with building/remodeling any optical sensing, measurement, or metrology systems
◆ Basic knowledge of statistics
◆ Programming language (MATLAB or Python) for data analysis and data visualization
◆ Strong communication and presentation skills
Desired Experience/Skills:
◆ Experience with 3D sensing system developments such as stereo camera, ToF (time-of-flight) camera, structure light, or LiDAR
◆ Experience with image processing tools such as OpenCV, MATLAB image processing toolbox
◆ Experience with advanced data analysis such as curve fitting, optimization, or parametric estimation. Experience with machine learning is a plus
◆ Experience with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, ProE, or other 3D drawing software
◆ familiar with c++, Qt, or pyQt is a plus
