JOB SUMMARY
As a Server ME Architect in the Advanced Engineering Team, you will drive innovation and lead the mechanical architecture design during the concept phase of server and storage platforms. This role focuses on deep technical engagement, cross-functional collaboration, and aligning with AE's high-level expectations for architectural excellence. You will ensure the delivery of high-impact mechanical solutions, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and innovative practices to deliver high-impact solutions that exceed customer and business expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Define system-level mechanical architecture based on PRD, ensuring feasibility for execution teams during subsequent phases.
- Lead system-level mechanical architecture design during pre-concept and concept phases.
- Perform feasibility studies, material cost analyses, and PoC evaluations to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with architects, BU, and supply chain partners to integrate new technologies into roadmaps.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (thermal, power, and system architects) to optimize mechanical solutions and ensure technical alignment during the concept phase.
- Define high-level mechanical requirements and support the hardening of abstract specifications.
- Prepare comprehensive mechanical proposals during POC/RFI/RFQ phases.
- Lead early-stage ME design work tailored to customer traits and needs, ensuring high-level requirements are addressed.
- Develop guidelines, playbooks, and lessons learned to improve front-end activities and enhance efficiency.
