Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Personal Computer Product Hardware Engineer Manager to lead the design, development, and optimization of hardware components for our personal computer product line. This role involves managing a team of hardware engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of innovative, high-performance, and cost-effective hardware solutions. Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of hardware engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Assign projects, set goals, and evaluate team performance to ensure optimal productivity and quality.
2. Hardware Design and Development:
Oversee the design, prototyping, and testing of hardware components, including motherboards, processors, graphics cards, memory, and storage.
Ensure hardware designs meet performance, reliability, and cost objectives.
Project Management
3. Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and milestones for hardware development initiatives.
Coordinate with product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to align hardware designs with product requirements.
4. Quality Assurance and Testing:Establish and enforce rigorous testing protocols to ensure hardware components meet industry standards and customer expectations.
Address and resolve hardware issues identified during testing or post-launch.
Technology Research and Innovation
5. Stay updated on emerging hardware technologies, industry trends, and competitor products.
6. Drive the integration of cutting-edge technologies into the product line to maintain a competitive edge.
7. Vendor and Supplier Collaboration:Work with external vendors and suppliers to source components and ensure timely delivery of quality materials.
Evaluate and select new suppliers based on technical capabilities and cost-effectiveness.
8. Documentation and Reporting.
Maintain detailed documentation of hardware designs, test results, and project progress.
Present updates, challenges, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
