The Japan HR & Office Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of Human Resources, general office administration, and sales operations support in the Japan office. This role plays a key part in recruitment, employee relations, compliance with Japanese labor law, and office management, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and alignment with HQ policies.
1. Recruitment/Package Discussion:
● Manage the entire recruitment process, from screening resumes to arranging interviews and conducting package discussions with both headquarters (HQ) and candidates.
● Handle employee offer and contract preparation and issuance.
● Develop recruitment channels or review headcount contracts.
2. Liaison with Country Manager and HQ (Annual HR Timeline):
● Act as a liaison between the Country Manager and HQ for annual HR timeline and document preparation.
● Facilitate processes related to performance appraisal, salary adjustments, and promotions.
● Collaborate with HQ for annual budgeting and monthly HR cost.
3. Labor Law Compliance:
● Ensure compliance with labor laws, including the documentation and orientation of new hires.
● Manage risk related to employee issues and address any identified concerns.
● Conduct regular training sessions as required by labor law.
● To be a communication window to a company’s lawyer.
4. General Affairs:
● Handle employee benefits administration.
● Oversee general office operations and support ad-hoc administrative duties.
● Manage vendor contracts, office supplies, and facilities to maintain a productive work environment.
5. Employee Engagement & Communication
● Foster a positive work culture through regular engagement activities and employee communication.
● Support internal communication between the Japan office and regional/global teams.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects of HR operations, including talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, benefits administration.
• Familiar with local labor laws.
• Develop and execute the HR strategy for the Japan office in alignment with the global HR framework.
• Promote employee engagement, retention, and a positive workplace culture. Champion initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction and well-being.
• Manage GA related matters in Tokyo and Osaka office.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
• 8+ years' experience in Human Resources.
• Possess experiences as an HR Leader in multinational companies.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive HR initiative.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
• Strong command of both English and Japanese.
