Senior Software Engineer, ISP IQ Software and gSimulator

Minimum qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. • 5 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture. • 5 years of experience with software development in C++ programming language, data structures/algorithms, image processing, and server-side programming. Preferred qualifications: • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field. • 5 years of industry experience in imaging tuning related development and technology with an understanding of image quality metrics. • 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role. • Experience in image processing, computer vision, and computational photography development. • Familiarity with Android development, Borg, Flume, Boq, Pod, camera tuning, camera firmware. • Understanding of imaging hardware, image signal processing and post-processing imaging algorithms. As part of the ISP IQ software team, you'll have the chance to work with global talents to launch scalable and efficient software and hardware ISP (Image Signal Processing) solutions and ensure the best mobile IQ (Image Quality) for Pixel Camera. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world. Responsibilities • Develop Camera solutions, including quality design, and Android camera quality infrastructure development. Work with multiple teams to provide the best camera quality and user experiences. • Develop the camera tuning software infrastructure, including image processing simulator and device-identical image verification framework. • Maintain scalable cross-platform servers and services to serve different image processing purposes in great quantity and quality. • Develop automatic processes to improve data validation coverage and make the tuning workflow more efficient.  • Work with Architecture, Software, Image Quality, Tuning teams to develop solutions to achieve quality goals and commercialize real products.
