418596 FW Test Engineer (I/O Team)

Lenovo Data Center Group is currently seeking FW Test Engineer with abundant FW test experiences of x86 architecture and storage including device/node/rack/cluster who can work with Lenovo’s HW and SW design and validation teams. The selected candidate will leverage technical knowledge of embedded firmware testing and with detail -oriented personality to ensure the product quality for our customers. Responsibilities · SAS expander and PCIe/CXL switch FW testing. · Write SAS expander and PCIe/CXL switch test script under Linux or Windows. · Help to do HW and FW troubleshooting with SAS expander and PCIE switch. · Help to build up HW and FW system with SAS expander and PCIE switch for system/FW validation. · Generate test cases, expand test coverage of Lenovo system with SAS expander and PCIE/CXL switch. · Interact with cross function teams. Technical Skills · Know well about embedded system/FW testing. · Know well about how to leverage interfaces to manipulate embedded FW (like I2C, debug serial, ethernet, etc.). · Good at writing test script on Linux or Windows. · Proficiency capturing messages from OS or debug serial which indicates an error or a warning of a system. · Experienced about SAS expander and PCIE switch HW/FW testing is a plus. · Understand how to measure system performance is a plus. Education and Experience · Must have 3 years or more work experience in FW or embedded system testing. · Undergraduate engineering or science degree is required. · Major in Computer science or Electrical Engineering is a plus. · Hyperscale/Cloud test experience is a plus. Teaming and Communications · Proficiency verbal communication, reading and writing in Mandarin and English. · Ability to work effectively cross-culturally across teams in the US and Asia
