Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Performs a wide variety of mechanical/electromechanical engineering assignments at an intermediate to high degree of complexity with little direction from senior engineering peers and supervisors. Considerable latitude for independent action and decision. Responsible for costing/estimating, design, tooling, supplier interfacing, qualification, into and through production. Primary Responsibilities Responsible for the mechanical/electromechanical design of products including the following: • Full life-cycle product development experience from concept through production is extremely important . • Performs architectural and detailed mechanical/electromechanical design utilizing Advanced Input technology in order to satisfy customer requirements and specifications for a broad range of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) products. • Ability to solve a wide range of technical problems & contribute creative ideas to improve development processes • Self-starter, highly motivated, and extremely collaborative • Comfortable with fast pace, constant change, and handling multiple projects • Works with customers to establish design requirements. • Assists in the development and maintenance of design standards. • Coordinates mechanical/electromechanical design with responsible Program Manager. • Executes projects in alignment with the Mechanical Development Process. • Reviews designs with Manufacturing to ensure product is manufacturable. Qualifications Essential: • BS in Mechanical Engineering. • Fluent in Mandarin and English . • 10 years minimum experience. • Solidworks expert. Certified Solidworks a plus. • Experience with designing and analyzing multi-part mechanisms and mechanical/electromechanical assemblies. • Plastic Part Design for Injection mold, Compression mold elastomer, and metal part design experience. • Excellent analytical abilities in math and stress analysis. • Attention to detail, tolerance analysis, accuracy and speed of task execution. • Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, Cost, Testability, Serviceability, Automation • Significant breadth within materials science. • Designing for EMC compliance. • Rapid Prototyping experience. • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with customers, suppliers, and factory personnel, in Asia and USA. • Experience with customer interface representing technical domain • Minimal travel to Shenzhen China and Idaho/Texas USA is a possibility.
