You'll produce original reporting from Taipei. Pitch features that interest you. Go out and talk to people. Learn what's happening on the ground in Taiwan and China and convey it to an international audience. Our ideal candidate will be committed to journalistic values, but able to identify wider trends and write about them before anyone else. We focus on features with an angle, rather than rolling coverage of the week's events (though we do some of this, too). We want to go out and talk to experts and form a more fundamental understanding of why events are unfolding as they are. We operate with hybrid working. Salary is negotiable and based on experience.
