Works with colleagues to ensure market data are reasonable and client specifications are met, and complete revisions as necessary. SUMMARY Retirement consultants provide end-to-end consulting and advice on defined benefit (DB) and/or defined contribution (DC) retirement plans, helping clients to support their employees’ financial wellness. This advice ranges from strategic plan design and financial risk management to regulatory advice, plan administration and vendor selection. With a few years of experience, a Senior Retirement Consulting Analyst is still growing as an individual contributor, but can tackle problems and get the job done, sometimes with guidance from senior team members. POSITION SCOPE We will count on you to: • Assist in actuarial valuations and scheme designs for local and global pension plans, as well as experience analysis (e.g. assumed vs realized turnover) to facilitate assumption setting process. • Support probabilistic cash flow modelling using actuarial modelling techniques for pension schemes on a project basis. • Prepares detailed analysis of final funding and accounting results to be reviewed by a signing actuary and retirement consultant. • Preparing actuarial reports and memorandums on various production and profitability statistics. • Assist in attribution analysis for assumption, population, market and other model updates. • Periodically update assumptions, in-force populations, assets, and market scenarios. • Deal with ad hoc projects and enquiries in relation to Mercer tools, advisory, solutions and other Mercer business lines. • Work with different offices and teams across the broader Mercer Wealth business in Asia and globally.
