AMD together we advance_ SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER (AI/ML) The Role - Software development engineer on teams building and optimizing AI libraries for AMD GPU compute platforms. The Person - In this role you will be developing in the key library for AI workloads. You are someone that has insight into performance optimizations, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities - Design, implement, optimize, profiling, analysis AI operations on AMD GPU - Deliver high-quality code with open-source software - Work with key technical specialists across AMD and with our partners and customers to improve libraries Preferred Experience - Excellent C/C++ programming and parallel programming, and software design skills including debugging, performance analysis and test design - Knowledge of GPU computing (CUDA, HIP, OpenCL) is a plus - Having low-level optimization techniques, such as assembly programming experience is a plus - Having understanding of Deep Learning is a plus - Understanding of GPU, DSP, or any of AI accelerators is a plus Academic Credentials Master's or PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field LOCATION: Taipei, Taiwan

THE ROLE: In AMD, the planner will work in GOQ org to execute the supply plan successfully with different function teams as product ENG, Package ENG, FTO, HWI and Quality. Outside AMD, The Planner works with critical semi-con factories, who has the lead technology and biggest business influencing the world. THE PERSON: Passionate, good communication skills and teamwork, good data analysis, flexible working mode. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze supply-demand matching, identify root cause / shortages and drive to close the gap with factories and relative ENG teams. Accountable to meet production supply target from wafer through the final finish goods delivery. Supply planning upside analysis including NPI/ mass production involving Capacity/HW planning, planning parameters, material, BOM, test flow. OSATs engagement to drive the throughput and efficiency. Daily tracking and managing WIP movement, cycle time and hold/aged materials in OSATs. Manage all the planning parameter and collaborate with ENG/IE to close the gap and improve the supply with co-working in Supply Chain Org. Track and monitor supply position including recommendations for risk mitigation. Lead and trigger influencing communication, coordinate and drive the actions with cross function teams to solve excursions and recover the supply. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Able to clearly communicate verbally and written in English and Chinese. 3-6 years' experience in semiconductor manufacturing/product planning & control under supply chain org, or outsourcing/OSAT management /Design house relative. NPI experience on samples planning/delivery and volume bring up with factories. Advance Package – 3DIC/CoWoS/WLFO/INFO/EFB product experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, develop, and debug BIOS (System Software) for internal/external systems and platforms that use AMD APU/CPU. Participant in day-to-day BIOS development work using PC assembly and C languages; will need to interact with internal organizations, BIOS vendors, and customers. Comfortable working with PC hardware and platform issues Must have strong system debugging skills. The following are typical tasks that the engineer will be responsible for: o Design BIOS features required by AMD APU/CPU; o Develop BIOS features for AMD new platforms designed in house or externally; sustain existing BIOS; debug BIOS and system related issues; o Assist APU/CPU validation, platform validation, and debug engineers to develop/debug system and silicon issues; Provide consultation to internal and external customers regarding AMD features and programming requirements. Our presence in region gives this supplier quality team exposure to multiple AMD product development teams and manufacturing operation teams, in addition to our critical manufacturing partners and suppliers. This team partners with AMD Manufacturing Team and Procurement Team to drive our Suppliers proactively work towards AMD quality expectations and requirements. Conduct audits at suppliers’ sites and participate in supplier evaluations. Train and develop supplier to comply to AMD’s quality methodologies – 8D methodology/why-why analysis, responding to non-conformances, corrective action system, change management system.
