HTC攜手桃市府,展現元宇宙城市未來力,引領舊城區重現風采

HTC榮登最高等級的供應鏈議合領袖榜A級殊榮
進入 2024 年,HTC 持續在永續評比上獲得肯定。今天想與大家分享一個剛出爐的好消息!CDP 於 3/6 剛公布了 2023 年度供應鏈議合評價 (Supplier Engagement Rating;SER), HTC 榮登最高等級的供應鏈議合領袖榜(A 級)殊榮,在全球超過 11,500 間參與評價的企業中,僅有 450 多間企業能獲得此項最高榮譽。HTC 去年在此項評價獲得領導等級(A- 級)的肯定,今年則更上層樓,進入領袖榜。 為了真正有意義地減少對環境的危害,企業必須串連整個供應鏈,共同採取行動衡量並減少供應鏈的氣候風險。我們很自豪能夠在這個領域佔有一席之地,成為 CDP 2023 年供應鏈議合評價的領袖企業。CDP Supply Chain and Reporter Services Director Simon Fischweicher 也表示:「作為供應鏈議合評價的領袖,HTC 正展現了供應鏈領導力是邁向淨零、自然正成長的先決條件。」 CDP 是全球最大的國際性碳排放揭露組織,也是投資機構評估企業在碳排放等環境相關風險上極為重要的參考指標。CDP 幫助企業與城市從「氣候變遷」、「水」、「森林」等三個主要領域來揭露環境衝擊相關的資訊。HTC 從 2008 年就開始參與 CDP 氣候變遷問卷回覆,自願性揭露我們的氣候風險與未來發展機會、碳排放量資訊及管理機制策略等。 永續生活,需要每位夥伴一起來努力,讓我們留給下一代一個美好永續的地球。

VIVE Focus 3 征服太空,成為太空人每日運動最佳夥伴
在日前一項開創性的成就中,VIVE Focus 3 最近成為了第一款能在太空微重力條件下運作的VR頭戴式設備,用於繞著太空軌道運行時,維持太空人的心理健康。 現在,我們很高興地宣布,此任務已擴展至改善太空人的身體和生理健康,VIVE Focus 3 在太空人的日常運動中發揮著至關重要的作用。 VIVE Focus 3成為第一個在微重力條件下運作的獨立VR/XR頭戴式設備,這是項重大成就。在此之前,在微重力環境中,使用VR頭戴式設備面臨著多重追蹤和定位方面的挑戰。我們通過獨特的解決方案解決了這些難題。受我們行業領先的 實景應用軟體套件(LBSS) 中一系列解決方案的啟發,VIVE團隊開發了一款特殊的追蹤技術,並利用控制器作為錨點。 這項創新使得歐洲太空總署的安德烈亞斯·莫根森(Andreas Mogensen)——國際太空站指揮官能利用這款頭戴式設備進行長達25分鐘的心理健康療法,他在這過程中,沒有遇到過去在太空中困擾VR的問題,其中包括內容飄移和錯位定位。現在,他正在使用VIVE Focus 3來增強他在丹麥航空航天公司 ( Danish Aerospace Company )開發的 FERGO 健身自行車和VR體驗中的運動體驗。 太空旅行的身體負擔 太空人在微重力環境中度過數月時間,這對人體造成了重大負擔。根據英國太空總署的傑瑞米·柯蒂斯等專家的說法,太空人在經歷為期五個月的太空任務期間,可能會失去高達40%的肌肉質量和12%的骨量。根據柯蒂斯的說法,這種身體上的退化相當於一個20歲的年輕人在短短三個月內變成了一個60歲的人。 NASA對微重力對人體的影響進行了研究,發現在沒有地球引力的情況下,承受重力的骨骼在太空飛行期間,每個月會失去1%至1.5%的骨質密度。若沒有適當飲食和運動計劃,太空人在微重力中也會比在地球上更快地失去肌肉質量。 返回地球的太空人還可能出現站立和平衡問題。一些太空人在返回地球後需要接受長達一年以上的特殊復健計劃,以重建肌肉和骨骼。返回地球後,骨骼流失可能無法完全通過康復治療來修復,甚至有些人可能永遠無法恢復先前的骨骼質量。 為了消除這些負面影響,太空人必須每天進行兩小時的運動。 ISS上的運動虛擬實境(VR)應用 國際太空站上的太空人生理健康活動迎來了一項重大升級,即飛輪運動或稱FERGO。這款尖端的運動自行車於2023年8月送達,將取代自2007年以來長期上使用的CEVIS自行車。新的FERGO飛輪在運動時,還能承受太空人產生的500瓦功率,這與CEVIS的350瓦相比是一項顯著的改進。 為了對抗ISS內部的單調乏味,以及機器不斷發出的嗡嗡聲,莫根森現在戴著VIVE Focus 3進行騎行,以獲得視覺和身體上的同步體驗。當他騎行時,景色會隨著時間變化,而VIVE Focus 3則通過藍牙向FERGO發送信息,在他騎上坡或在不同表面上騎行時提供阻力。 這個虛擬實境(VR)體驗將他帶到不同的虛擬自行車道上,其中包括五條在莫根森的家鄉丹麥拍攝的自行車路線,為他提供了動態且引人入勝的運動體驗。360°的VR影片包括了穿過 Loekken、Silkeborg、Svanninge Bakker、Odense Aasti 和哥本哈根湖畔的路徑。值得注意的是,其中一幕具有挑戰性的情境是由十歲的丹麥競賽得主伊莎貝拉·達姆(Isabella Dam)提供的,她來自Saltum,分享了她在 Loekken 海灘上騎車的影片,包括了獨特的景觀,如二戰時期的碉堡。 安德烈亞斯是 WILD Nature Foundation 的大使,在2024年1月與他們交流時,他分享了一些使用VIVE Focus 3的經驗:「我想念地球...我想念溫暖的陽光。我想念微風拂過的感覺。我想念草和樹木的氣味... 我們所處的是一個非常非常不自然的實驗室。我在這裡有一項實驗是使用虛擬現實設備來讓自己恢復活力,幫助我的心理狀態,這實際上是非常美妙的。我喜歡這個虛擬現實設備的一件事是聲音,聽到鳥兒啼鳴的聲音,聽到風吹過蘆葦和樹葉的聲音。我喜歡這個,這是我想念的東西。」 VIVE Focus 3 在 ISS 上用於心理和身體健康的部署是一個令人難以置信的里程碑。VIVE Focus 3 成為第一個在太空微重力條件下運作的獨立 VR 頭戴式設備,將對地球及其以外區域產生巨大影響。 這一成就得益於我們自己 VIVE 研發團隊、國際太空站上的太空人,以及 Nord-Space Aps、XRHealth、歐洲太空總署、NASA、丹麥航空航天公司等合作夥伴的協作與創新。

HTC攜手教育部,開啟「教育元宇宙」共學新紀元
首度示範共融於元宇宙 消弭城鄉教學資源差距 學生可邊玩邊學 從小在創新科技學習環境中培養未來力 在教育部資訊及科技教育司的指導下,HTC 聯合 5G 新科技學習示範學校輔導計畫辦公室、國立屏東大學、國立高雄大學及苗栗縣政府教育處,透過 5G 及元宇宙新科技學習示範學校計畫,將創新科技與教學相融合,提供學生更加生動、豐富的沉浸式共學體驗。 日前,HTC 於苗栗縣通霄國民小學舉行 「教育元宇宙公開觀課暨成果發表會」 , 為全台展示首例跨校共融於教育元宇宙平台示範教學 ,苗栗縣通霄與蕉埔國民小學師生將一同進入由 VIVERSE 所建構的「教育元宇宙課堂」 進行一場跨越地域限制、資源共享,以及可讓同學在嶄新的虛擬學習空間內邊玩邊學的跨學科有趣學習課程。 教育部資訊及科技教育司李政軒司長表示:「教育部致力於前瞻教育,有鑒於疫情期間遠距學習的重要性,如何於課堂上與師生即時互動,並且落實完整教學需求,讓虛擬課程不遜色於實體課程,進而克服實體教學所遇到之侷限與困境,協助學生建構知識,提升學習成效,並能透過教育元宇宙平台達到協作學習以及跨校資源共享ㄐ成為現階段建立教育元宇宙的核心課題。與 HTC 的交流是我們努力實現這一目標的一部分,未來期望能夠將教育元宇宙平台引入更多的國中小及高中,讓學生從小即接觸尖端科技,探索全新的學習體驗,從中獲得多方的啟發,培養應對未來的競爭實力。」 5G 新科技學習示範學校輔導計畫總主持人、國立屏東大學吳聲毅教授指出:「5G 新科技通訊網路世代的來臨,無線傳輸速度的提昇,為使用者帶來諸多應用與便利,在教育之應用上更是充滿想像與前景,而元宇宙平台將作為混合式學習生態興起之一大利器,除了教材資源可於平台上不受空間與距離限制進行多元共享外,其多元的應用服務與功能,提供教師更多樣的教學應用工具與舞台,更將成為智慧教育的未來趨勢。」 活動當日由通霄國小的楊誠達老師與蕉埔的林在營主任率領28位同學分別透過VR頭顯、電腦及平板參與由 VIVERSE 一站式虛擬空間解決方案所打造的「玩樂之聲教育元宇宙課堂」的共學體驗。學生進入一個充滿未來科技氛圍的沉浸式教室學習空間,老師在此空間中可展示高逼真度的3D物件,進行虛擬協作或主題討論。同時,此空間還提供多項演說功能,輔助老師及同學進行主題演講,例如展開多個大螢幕、筆記、簡報筆等工具。此外,學生可在教室內外多個獨立討論空間進行分組交流,並透過自創虛擬分身實現課堂中的生動互動,如舉手回答、站立在講台上演練報告技巧等。學生們不約而同地說:「這裡真的好神奇,我們可以各自體驗虛擬教材,也能和同學互相討論分享,上課起來新奇又有趣!」 這場「玩樂之聲教育元宇宙課堂」與傳統的教學模式有所不同,學生不僅可以從教室瞬間進入練團室和表演廳,認識各種樂器,學習其發聲原理和音色,探索空氣與聲音間的關係,同學們還能飛到海邊、森林、街道路口等場景,辨識及收集各種環境聲音,並了解如船隻鳴笛聲、溪水聲、動物腳步聲等的聲音原理。這樣的體驗涵蓋了物理、音樂等跨學科元素,實現了跨學科沉浸式的學習體驗。 苗栗縣通霄國民小學張傳源校長進一步指出:「教育界正處於一個技術變革的時代,我們必須不斷探索新的教育方法和工具,以滿足學生的需求並提供更好的學習成果。感謝教育部資訊及科技技術司特別選擇苗栗縣國民小學來實證透過教育元宇宙平台來消弭城鄉教學資源的差距化,創造一個資源共享的教學首例。看到同學們邊玩邊學以更高的專注力及更快速的理解力來探索新知,這就是我們所期待創造的成果!」 HTC全球業務暨行銷副總裁黃昭穎表示:「HTC作為全球科技領域的引領者,致力於推動台灣在XR及元宇宙方向的科技創新,同時積極培育未來的科技人才。VIVERSE 元宇宙世界提供教育領域無窮無盡的沉浸式空間,使老師與學生能以全新的方式共同學習、交流及探索新知。我們很榮幸能在教育部資訊及科技教育司的指導下,聯合5G新科技學習示範學校輔導計畫辦公室、國立屏東大學、國立高雄大學及苗栗縣政府教育處共同推動元宇宙學習示範計畫,今日我們不僅見證了全台首例跨校共融於教育元宇宙平台的示範教學,更是展現了一個開放、平等的學習理念。」
