又一檔AI受惠股!康寧這產品需求強 調升財測股價飆12%
玻璃基板與光纖大廠美商康寧(Corning)股價8日收盤大漲12%,原因是該公司調升第2季財測,帶動股價創2020年3月來最大單日漲幅。 康寧把調高第2季財測的原因,歸功於旗下光學連接產品需求表現出色,這類產品用來驅動可運作生成式AI的網路。康寧公司先前是以為蘋果iPhone和其他手機開發大猩猩玻璃(Gorilla Glass)而聞名。 康寧執行長魏文德(Wendell Weeks)接受CNBC電視節目採訪時表示:「我們發明了新光纖、新電纜、新連接器和新的客製化整合光學解決方案,用於大幅降低安裝成本、整體時間和空間以及碳足跡。」 康寧預期第2季營收36億美元,高於先前提出的34億美元財測;預期每股盈餘達到管理層提出的每股42美分至46美分區間「高位或略高」。 魏文德在新聞稿中表示,第2季獲利與去年同期相比預期重返成長,「這些業績結果強化我們對『Springboard』(跳板)的信心,也就是未來三年年化營收增加逾30億美元的計畫,受惠於景氣因素和長期趨勢結合。」 康寧預期第1季年比下滑6%的營收已是今年最低,預料隨著市況改善,營收將一路上升直到年底。 康寧宣布,將在7月30日公布財報。
