Day to Day Responsibilities: • Participate in and/or lead retrofit and development of process equipment. • Contribute to online trial planning and execution, providing inputs focused on first principles. • Analyze experimental data for process understanding and technology evaluation. • Protect Corning's intellectual property by filing timely invention disclosures for patent applications. • Document all project findings in structured internal reports. • Job duties may span across facilities and manufacturing disciplines. • Support operations personnel through troubleshooting and training as needed. • Work with the design team to ensure proper equipment and upgrades are installed per the migration plan. • Join development in engineering programs of equipment design to improve current process capabilities. • Support new technology migration through equipment installation, process optimization, and documentation. Education & Experience: • Master or PhD degree and major in Mechanical or Engineering related field.
