Starting from scrappy beginnings, Three Trees is committed to raising the standards of plant-based food in the United States.There's a huge gap in the drinkable nutrition space – lots of sodas and teas, but fewer nutritious beverages. In Asia, there's a real culture of using plant-based ingredients to create things that are full of nutrients. Our founder wanted to bring that philosophy to the United States. Our founder started tinkering with nut milks in her own kitchen in 2012, and selling them at local farmer's markets and pop-up markets in 2013. One day she dropped some bottles off at Rainbow Co-op and Bi-Rite Market in San Francisco, without an appointment with the buyers or anything. For a year, I was just in five stores, then in about thirty the following year. We're now proud to have retail partners across the entire country!
