Roles & Responsibilities:
As a Project Manager, your primary aim will be to ensure production within the factory. Accomplishing this role involves several critical steps:
Guaranteeing all prototypes of new systems or products are ready for production.
Ensuring comprehensive training and robust motivation within the factory team.
Coordinating potential design improvements with the Development and Engineering (ME) department for resolution.
Initiating, monitoring, and directing projects and programs from inception through to delivery.
Organizing project-related activities and communications among departments, customers, and stakeholders.
Communicating customer requirements, specifications, project schedules, and cost-related matters.
Maintaining project plan documents, procedures, and project deliverables.
As a Project Manager at AMAX, you will facilitate the seamless transitioning or introduction of products within the factory. You will serve as the pivotal interface between Product Engineers (PE) and the Manufacturing/Work Center, often requiring interactions with teams across Asia, China, and the United States.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Implementing the 6 Sigma processes across realms such as products, personnel, factories, production tools, and parts for the industrialization of all new products, systems, and modules.
• Preparing necessary documentation for passage through each key decision gate check (ISO9001 and ISO14001).
• Assisting in the industrialization of prototypes or pilot production, cultivating work methods, and prepping for model scalability and mass production.
• Steering problem-solving strategies to attain mature product targets on a mass scale and cost efficiency.
• Ensuring timely outputs during pilot testing and planning resources for experimental production.
• Establishing and meeting the training needs of the manufacturing team for system development.
• Providing services to production engineers and maintenance engineering teams by understanding new product requirements and collaborating with domain owners to ensure timely delivery of outcomes.
• Ensuring that the cost-effectiveness strategy is incorporated during product design, development, and scale-up to mass production.
• Completing tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Skills & Competencies Required:
• The ability to structure multifaceted conversations in a multicultural setting.
• Understanding of the design, assembly, and testing processes.
• Aptitude for effective planning, maintaining personal flexibility, and working independently in uncharted situations.
Technical Background:
• A degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, or any related field.
• Familiarity with server, storage, network, and other hardware system architectures.
• Understanding of emerging technology principles such as AI, Machine Learning, and Big Data analysis.
Solution Planning and Integration:
• Ability to deeply analyze customer needs in AI, HPC, Cloud, and other domains.
• Expertise in system architecture design and integration within the chosen field.
• Ability to be a bridge between user requirements and technical implementation.
Product Portfolio Management:
• Familiarity with the product portfolio details of server, storage, and network, among others.
• Ability to update, plan, and manage product portfolio.
• Track and understand competitor product dynamics and company strategy positioning.
Industry Insight:
• Deep understanding of the semiconductor, AI, Big Data, and other industry development trends.
• Keeping abreast of technical innovation trends and customer demand changes.
• Ability to plan solution roadmap.
