The Atmosic team, having pioneered CMOS RF design over the past decades, has unique perspective and expertise in low-power wireless design. We approached the challenge of radically reducing battery dependence for IoT as “wireless agnostics,” in search of the most power-efficient way to solve the challenges associated with installing and maintaining billions of IoT devices such as beacons, controllers, and asset and fitness trackers, just to name a few. Many IoT applications require long range but need very little bandwidth capacity, transmitting data only intermittently. We believe the advances of Bluetooth® technology with its latest iteration known as Bluetooth 5, offers the ideal wireless platform upon which we’ve built our inaugural solutions. The new Bluetooth 5 offers performance increases over legacy Bluetooth by 4x the range, 2x the speed and 8x the bandwidth. Enhancing this standards-based platform with our Lowest Power Radio outlined here, we’ve achieved 10 times lower power in our Bluetooth 5-based products. Combined with our On-demand Wakeup discussed here, our solutions are capable of 100 times lower power. With Controlled Energy Harvesting discussed here, we can make the batteries in your devices last forever or be battery free. These order of magnitude decreases in power consumption, coupled with energy harvesting, will radically and positively change battery power dynamics for wireless IoT forever. With these advances, Atmosic is enabling our vision of Forever Connectivity, Anywhere.

Atmosic Technologies is looking for a senior SoC/Digital design engineer who is passionate about delivering differentiated low-power and battery-free wireless connectivity solutions. Job title and responsibilities commensurate with experience. Description This position is for someone with a proven track record in SoC/ASIC design and development. You will be part of a small team tasked with developing uniquely novel Internet of Things (IOT) SoC’s. Your primary focus will be digital design but you will work to some degree in all aspects of the SoC lifecycle. You will be working on heavily integrated mixed signal chips equipped with radios, communication cores, CPU’s, and a wide variety of peripherals. You should see your work deployed in volume in this dynamic and rapidly growing market. Responsibilities - Implement, from a paper specification and/or data sheets, a variety of digital cores - Participate in the design and verification of the SoC architecture and microarchitecture - Develop and implement test plans, close coverage for functional sign-off, work with design verification engineer - Support silicon bringup and production as needed Requirements - Proficient in Verilog and SystemVerilog. - Good understanding of serial protocols such as UART, I2C, and SPI - Familiar with the AMBA protocols and CPU/memory subsystems - Knowledgeable of CPU-based SoC’s and how to support FW and SW engineers - Knowledgeable of low power design techniques such as power islands, isolation, and power states - Experience with whole-chip synthesis, timing closure, DFT - Experience with running and debugging gate level simulations - Experience with the full design cycle from concept to high volume production - Skilled in scripting and automation to enable high productivity - Creative problem solving skills - Excellent communication and team skills - Desire to work in a fast paced startup environment - General understanding of working within a Linux environment - Experience in any of the following items would be a plus: constrained random methodologies; CPF and/or UPF-based power intent; wireless protocols; physical design processes Desired Experience - 6+ years of applicable ASIC design experience - MS in Electrical Engineering or related field - Two or more SoC design cycles with design contributions

At Atmosic, we are re-architecting wireless connectivity solutions from the ground up to radically reduce IoT device dependence on batteries. We aim to make batteries last forever and the Internet of Things battery free – thus breaking the power barrier to widespread IoT adoption. We are looking for a self-driven Software Engineer - Controller, who enjoys taking challenges and making your effort real. You need to work closely with engineers all over the world. You will be responsible for BLE firmware functionality, creating new features, and making it more efficient and reliable. Responsibilities: - Independently implement and validate MAC drivers. - Conduct BLE controller compliance testing. - Understand BLE core specification( especially in "Host Controller Interface" and " Lower Energy controller" volumes ) and develop new features. - Debug link layer issues and provide robust solutions. - Maintain and refactor link layer stack. - Develop link layer diagnostic tooling. Requirements: - Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronic engineering, or Communication engineering is preferred. - Proficiency in embedded software development. - 2+ years experience in wireless protocol development, BLE is a plus. - Effective verbal and written communication skills. - Good understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) concept. - Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. - Proven scripting skill to improve the work efficiency is a plus.
