As a BMC Firmware Developer, you will design and implement BMC firmware for server products, collaborating with validation engineers to ensure design quality. Drive innovation and continuous improvement by leveraging new technologies and methodologies in BMC firmware development, while providing exceptional support to internal and external stakeholders through technical project coordination. [Key Responsibilities] - Collaborate with the FSAS Japan BMC team on project transitions and sustaining maintenance. - Develop, debug, and port BMC firmware with the global team, including root cause analysis. - Work with system PMs to define key BMC firmware features for next-gen platforms. - Lead OpenBMC bring-up for new server systems, including design, development, and debugging. - Ensure seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams. - Oversee BMC firmware development, documentation, and source code management. - Liaise with chip vendors for core updates and critical issue resolution. [Education and Experience] - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field. - 7+ years of experience in server BMC firmware development. - 5+ years of experience in OpenBMC development. - Experience in Linux driver and application development. - Proficiency with Yocto and Bitbake. - Strong understanding of BMC chipsets, code structures, and firmware requirements. - Familiar with server management protocols (IPMI, Redfish, MCTP, PLDM, etc.). - Knowledge of hardware communication interfaces (IPMB, I2C/I3C, PMBus, SPI, eSPI, UART, PECI, etc.). - Familiar with Intel x86, AMD, or ARM server architectures. - Experience with ASPEED BMC chips. - Strong C/C++ programming skills with object-oriented concepts. - Strong English communication skills.
