Gearlab Outdoors品牌創立於2018年。 創辦人本身是贏得多項世界工業設計大獎的設計師，由於自身就是資深獨木舟玩家，長期帶領設計師團隊，積極投入各種戶外運動，特別是不耗費地球資源，以人力驅動的獨木舟及單車活動。 在團隊多年研究實驗下，決定創立自有品牌生産獨木舟相關產品，以台灣舉世知名的生產製造資源, 用碳纖維材料及現代工藝重新設計Greenland槳，行銷北美、歐洲，近年更開始參與及贊助世界各地的獨木舟活動。 孫崇實更是擔任多年台灣獨木舟協會常務理事，致力於台灣推廣獨木舟運動及文化 Gearlab Outdoors was founded by Chung-Shih Sun and a group of industrial designers in 2009. Chung-Shih is an award-winning designer and an active outdoorsman. After years of experience in the outdoors and paddling, Chung-Shih decided to develop kayaking paddles by reinventing the traditional Greenland paddles with carbon fiber material and technique used on bicycle manufacturing. Now Gearlab Paddles have established a firm base of users, especially in North America and Scandinavia. Chung-Shih is also a long time board member of the Taiwan Kayaking Association, promoting paddling sports, maritime culture, and environmental preservation.
