Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is currently looking for an experienced Quality Engineer who will have the overall responsibility for measuring, tracking, reporting and protecting TGCS and our customers from products and services that do not meet our specifications. Their involvement begins during NPI (New Product Introduction) activity to encourage new products and designs that equal or surpass the predecessor product quality and continues through the life of the product where the QE will monitor TGCS Production and Supplier performance to ensure all key quality metrics are within acceptable target ranges for performance. Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer: 1. NPI – Manage complex projects. Provide input on supplier performance and selection during the RFQ process. Conduct audits to ensure line readiness as well as monitor and support defect resolution through all phases of the New Product Introduction. Be responsible for reviewing new process throughput yield and other quality metrics of new production processes and equipment and declaring them Ready/Released to Production. 2. Conducts Supplier audits as a part of ongoing quality monitoring and improvement. Qualifies Supplier and works with them on continuous improvements. 3. Monitors Production and Field performance to ensure targets are being met; drives improvements as necessary; and report in status meetings as required. Has authority to declare 'Stop Ship' as warranted by an out of specification condition. Focal point for field issues, often interfacing with customers and account teams for problem resolution. 4. Document Supplier related issues and drive them back to the Supplier or internal teams for corrective and preventive actions. Work with the Supplier for detailed failure analysis and root cause determination with corrective/preventive action implementation. 5. Provides direction to Fulfillment Centers and FRU Centers for inventory handling, rework / screening as required. 6. Work with the Quality Team in optimizing quality processes and maintain documentation of quality procedures. Involved in any quality procedure related matter and company audits. 7. Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, Hardware Development organization is looking to staff a Manufacturing Engineer position who is the primary technical support for products in the supply chain and is responsible to transition the products from Development Engineering (DEV) to the fulfillment centers and suppliers that manufacture the products. The responsibilities begin with EMI (Early Manufacturing Involvement) working with DEV to ensure the design can be manufactured in cost efficient processes yielding reliable products as well as establish product structure and ensure BOMs (Bill of Materials) are complete. The ME is responsible to ensure all production related items are in place, including labeling requirements, PCDs (Product Content Declarations) and processes the Manufacturing portion of the ECs releasing the product. In Life Cycle support, the ME will continue to process ECs for any product changes, work with the suppliers and fulfillment centers on any production related issues as well as product or process changes for improvements or cost reduction. This may also include rework or conversion routings for inventory optimization. RESPONSIBILITY： • Works with suppliers on MFG line layouts & processes. • Process ECs, including BOM structures, tool summaries, labeling requirements. • Prepares Manufacturing SOW for RFQs. • Process PCDs for environmental compliance. • Work with Fulfillment Centers on manufacturing-related issues. • Creates manufacturing work instructions (routings) as needed. • Review Off-spec requests. • Perform other related duties as assigned. Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, Hardware Development organization is looking to staff a product engineer position responsible for working with a cross-disciplinary team in the product lifecycle management. The product engineer will display strong technical and leadership skills, managing all aspects of the hardware lifecycle management. This role supports the service structure and serviceability of a product for hardware and firmware. This role serves as the field's interface to development for the identification and analysis of design, architecture and process issues and for driving those issues to resolution. A PE is expected to manage pervasive field issues, field communication and fix release. PE support is from pre-product introduction, GA release/mass production to product end of life. This role may participate with product development in the product design phase to incorporate product support, diagnosis and recovery capabilities. This position requires an engineering background, with experience and capabilities necessary to carry out the responsibilities listed below.
